Coca-Cola Happiness Machine

Once again, Coca-Cola has stepped outside the box and created a campaign that will create lasting impressions and results. In this video, the popular soft drink giant has decided to ‘give back’ to students by placing a very special machine in the middle of a college campus. The soft drink machine “gives back” every time someone puts in money to get a drink. And it’s not all extra bottles of coke.

I absolutely loved this video, but then I am a sucker for “feel good” videos. When I first viewed the video, I actually laughed out loud when some of the items came out of the machine. Coca-Cola has managed, once again, to come up with a marketing strategy that works. By offering rewards to consumers, and doing it in such a fun way, the company has created a fond memory that consumers will associate with the brand. The next time they are thirsty, regardless of where they are, they will most likely choose the Coca-Cola brand.

  1. Excellent example of a strong brand story that intrinsically builds loyalty through it’s message and in this case, lends itself to a great viral video as well. Good post!
